WCW: BETTY HALBREICH

If I could have drinks with any four women in fashion, living or dead, it would be Grace Coddington, Isabella Blow, Diana Vreeland, and Betty Halbreich. Personal shopper at Bergdorf's to those in the know, business confidante of the famously demure Geoffrey Beene, and a living legend in the consumer fashion industry, Betty is one badass babe. Already the author of one book, Secrets of a Fashion Therapist, her memoir I'll Drink to That comes out September 4th, and it is a must read for anyone who loves fashion and sassy commentary.

Betty is the kind of woman you need by your side in the fitting room when you're not sure if you can pull off that drop-waist Prada dress in a shade of aubergine that generally looks best on an actual eggplant. She'll tell you the truth - and she's not one to mince words, as evidenced in the industry documentary Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's:

I just love her. Betty is officially my WCE - woman crush every-day!
