SHE'S DEFINITELY NOT BORN WITH IT

People are getting wild with their lips, you guys. And I love it. While I may not rep the Smurf look, I've been making a sincere effort to get a little bolder with my lip color, while remaining semi-wearable. Sometimes all your usual look needs is a little POW right in the kisser.

LOBSTER MAC

If you want to branch out of your cherry-red-is-as-crazy-as-I-get routine, try an orange-y tomato red instead. Pictured is SAIL LA VIE from MAC - it's out of stock, but DOLCE & GABBANA SHINE in #130 is a great substitute. It's a spicy look that will make em say "ooh mami" not "ew mami."

COME ON BARBIE, LET'S GO PARTY

I love the sweet-as-sugar Mattel look, but sometimes I want something with a little more...bad. INGLOT #194 really delivers, and the almost chalky texture will stay put - even through a few  rounds of whiskey with Ken.

EVERYTHING IS PURPLE SWAG

INGLOT #422 was my first introduction to the brand - with one look, I was smitten.  They have any shade you could dream of, hyper-pigmented and not at all horribly expensive. When I saw this truly radiant, light orchid, I had to have it. What better way to represent the color of the year than on your face?

CYBER GIRL

Lorde is the reigning queen of dark lips, but her look tends towards the witchy/winter vibe. For summer, you can definitely go more grape than goth by lightening up on the layers. One swipe of CYBER by MAC will do, with some smudging here and there to fill in the sheer spots.

So ladies, there you have it. Four doable but bold choices for your summer lips. Go forth and wow, and when in doubt, always be wild.
