Over Labor Day Weekend, I did a little shopping at H&M. It was all work wear, but I wasn't about to buy something I don’t like just because it's office-appropriate. I was pretty bored with my usual suspects so I chose to go to H&M because you can get trendy and quality clothes for cheap. My office is pretty conservative, but we do get to participate in Casual Friday. I bought three essential items-- a sleeveless white blouse, a cream sweater, and black trousers. Let's be honest, workwear shopping isn't the most fun so I filled a couple online shopping baskets with some things I am looking at for the coming fall. THOSE BOOTS WILL BE MINE.
Check out a few of my looks.
MEETING
My new cream sweater is essential for an air conditioned office. While fall is slowly creeping up, I can still get away with wearing a skirt, and this one would be perfect - look at that pattern! These tasseled moccasins would be excellent to pair with this outfit, because there is a lot of walking involved in my job and I need both comfort and style.
BUSINESS LUNCH
Okay, if you know anything about me you will know what I own A LOT of black boots. These are a style that I have yet to own, but not for long. And look how good the boots look with my new pants. This outfit pairing is a go-to for me, office-wise. And this sweater would be a perfect addition. Does it not look like the softest, comfiest thing you could ever wear? Perfect for the soon-to-be cold temperatures, while still being office appro.
CASUAL FRIDAY
Ahhh, Friday, my favorite day of the work week. You get to dress down and look forward to the weekend. My office is very dedicated to the casual part of Friday, so to go with my new shirt I would choose a pair of coveted mom jeans with another essential- Birks. I don't own any light colored bags, so this little messenger bag would be perfect for after work drinks with friends.
Am I the only one who has multiple online shopping baskets filled? If any of you are looking for birthday ideas (I know it's early) here are some clues!
I like all these things.
